The Homer High School Athletic Hall of Fame
was chartered to recognize the accomplishments of the inductees
for their contributions to the fine traditions and to preserve
the history of Homer Athletics. These inductees exemplify Homer’s
commitment to academic, community, sportsmanship and athletic
excellence.

for the Class of 2009–
June 1st - Nomination Deadline
July 1st - Selection Committee will finalize honorees
September - Ceremony to induct the class of
2009
*Candidate
Categories –
Athlete –
Must have been graduated 5 years to be considered.
Coach –
Must have retired from Homer schools and coached
at least 20 years or 15 years within the same sport
for the Homer School District.
Administrator
–
Must have retired from Homer Schools and contributed
at least 15 years to the advancement of Homer Athletics.
Athletic Contributor –
Must have been a significant contributor to the
enrichment of Homer Athletics. |

nominations will remain active for a total of 5 years.
(Unsuccessful nominees will have to be re-submitted after
5 years.)
Selection
Committee –
The composition of the selection committee will
be as follows:High School Principal, High School
Assistant Principal, 3 Teacher/Coaches, 2 Community
Members and Athletic Director |

In order to be nominated to the Homer Schools
Athletic Hall of Fame, a Nominee Questionnaire must be submitted
by, or on behalf of, a candidate. Candidates must possess
character beyond reproach, and at least 5 years must have
passed since graduation from Homer Schools in order for a
candidate to be
eligible for consideration. However, college attendance is
not a prerequisite for consideration.
